The Instagram Spacing Playbook

  • Hashtag Sweet Spot: 3 to 5 highly relevant, high-quality tags
  • URLs: Text links in captions are not clickable; must go in bio

Why Paragraphs Collapse

Instagram's parser runs code checks on post submissions and automatically strips out empty carriage returns (`\n\n`) and trailing spaces. This compresses beautiful, well-spaced copy into a single, unreadable wall of text.

The Solution: Invisible Spacer Blocks

Rather than using ugly periods, underscores, or emoji rows to force paragraph separations, we can use the **Braille Pattern Blank** (`\u2800`).

Because this Unicode character is invisible to human eyes, it looks exactly like an empty space, but the Instagram parser treats it as positive character content, keeping your paragraph breaks wide open!

Hashtag Limits

While Instagram allows up to 30 hashtags, writing more than 10 makes the post look like spam and can decrease visibility in explore recommendations. We recommend utilizing our **"Move hashtags to bottom"** toggle to hide them under spacers below the main copy hook.
