Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about paragraph spacing, character counting rules, and character limitations.

Why do my Instagram paragraph breaks disappear?

Instagram strips trailing spaces and empty line breaks from captions. By default, it parses standard newlines as separator runs and collapses them. Our tool injects an invisible Unicode character, the Braille Pattern Blank (U+2800), which forces the Instagram parser to treat the empty line as text, keeping your spacing intact.

What are AI Generation Artifacts?

When you copy text from LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini), they often copy invisible characters like zero-width spaces (U+200B), word-joiners, or left-to-right markers. These symbols look invisible to you but can break hashtag links, double spacing, and cause formatting layouts to collapse.

How are character counts calculated for Twitter/X?

Twitter/X has unique character rules: regardless of their actual length, every URL is automatically counted as exactly 23 characters because they are shortened using t.co. Additionally, emojis count as 2 characters. Standard JS counts them as 2 code units, but flags or modifiers can add more; our tool models these rules accurately.

Why are URLs flagged on Instagram and TikTok?

Instagram and TikTok do not support clickable hyperlinks in captions. Placing a link in a caption forces users to manually transcribe or copy-paste it, resulting in near-zero click-through rates. The tool flags URLs on these platforms to remind you to move the link to your profile bio.

Is my content secure?

Yes, 100%. We do not send your text to any server or API. The cleaning pipeline executes entirely client-side using JavaScript in your web browser. You can verify this by turning off your internet connection or looking at the network log.
